Dermabond is a sterile, liquid skin adhesive specially utilized to keep up the skin approximation after surgery. When applied, the liquid will stabilize instantly and stay on your skin for 5 to 10 days after your procedure. After approximately 5 to 10 days, the Dermabond will naturally fallen off your skin. How to upkeep your surgical site: · Keep the wound clean, dry and bandage in place for around 24 hours after your surgery. · After 24 hours, you may bath. Also, slightly cleanse the area surrounding the Dermabond. Avoid scrubbing directly where the Dermabond has been used; rather, let the water and soap to run across the wound. · After showering, perform wound blotting with the help of a soft towel to dry. · Replacing the bandage over the wound area is not required. The Dermabond will work as a protective barrier. · Also, avoid cleaning the area multiple times per day. This may remove Dermabond from your skin.
